Orlando at the Golden Globesposted on January 17, 2004
Orlando was at the Golden Globe awards show yesterday, and here are some news tidbits:
From PR Newswire: "Curls Sweep the Golden Globes" - Some of the standout curly styles seen at the Globes were Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman's wavy updos, Megan Mullally and Miranda Richardson's shoulder length ringlets and Cate Blanchett with lightly tousled curls. The curly styles were worn by all age ranges, too, from Blythe Danner to Scarlett Johansson ... Many of the men also sported curls and waves, including Matthew McConaughey, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom and Ian McShane.
From MSNBC: "Rainbow of Fashions on Globes' Red Carpet" - For men, the most popular look was pairing a regular tie with a tux; it was worn by Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor and Denis Leary, whose purple Hugo Boss tie matched the purple gown worn by his wife, screenwriter Ann Lembeck. Jamie Foxx, meanwhile, skipped the tie altogether and wore his midnight-blue shirt open at the collar, and fashion rebel Johnny Depp wore a blue suit and pink tie. "This is men saying, 'This isn’t the Oscars, we're trying to keep this in perspective,"' said Glamour’s Leive. "It’s the evening version of men wearing their shirts untucked during the day."
OBM.net has an excellent recap of the whole night.
